That's right,we're playing a fucking Blastbeat gig on the 20th of March in....the river bank? To say the least...wtf. As of yet,I have absolutely no idea who is playing or what's going on...but yeah,if there's anybody available that night to go get drunk and hurl abuse at people, please come along. I hope to God it's not expensive.

I didn't want to make another thread about our band, and seen as this one was largely ignored I'm gonna change the subject. We were reviewed by this crowd online called Living Atheist. They gave our track "There's a Light" a spin: Artist: The Book Location: Ireland Song Title: There’s A Light MySpace: www.myspace.com/thebookbandGenre: Indie Rock (PAH! - Kev) What I thought: Rough! The beginnings of a possible musical organisation here. Almost the origins of punk as we used to know it 30 or so years ago. Even the sub pop thing of the early to mid-90s. In terms of musical sound, this has garage/bedroom going through it and for that it commands respect. The guys are doing their stuff well. Vocally, it flirts with decent and totally fucked in the same level. Timing is also in question at certain points within the track. So, fix the vocal and buy a metronome and you might be in reasonable shape. Oh and control the volume of the singer, because the louder he shouts, the more I want to kick him in the nuts. Reminds me of: Thin Lizzy, Nirvana, Pixies, Sonic Youth Score: 6/10 In a sentence: Not bad, but in need of some bandages. Hahaha, last line of review is kinda funny. I think there was a lot more positive than negative, and sure fuck it. Their address is www.livingatheist.co.uk if you wanna get in touch with yer own band.

Did we not play all our songs and rip it up that evening!? That review was delightful, he should have finished it off with: "Some books were just made to be closed"

Nah I think the Riverbank one was the one where the 4th years organized it and we could only play 6 songs or some shit, then they kept comin back and sayin we could play one less each time, and it was a gay botb thing no? I could be mistaken..

I could be mistaken.. Sounds familiar, I thought we played more though, but am probably wrong! There were always chants of one more song at the end of our gigs so it's a bit confusing Hows the work on the new Uprise coming along?
